This safari can start or end on any day of the year and last for as long as is required which is ideal for anglers who want the flexibility of deciding how long they spend on safari.
You will have the exclusive use of the safari unit and can make your own decisions about when to move camp and set the pace for your safari. A Nubian Safari offers a degree of independence which many anglers prefer and is perfect for a group of friends who would like to set out and explore the lake, at their own pace, on a private fishing adventure that has few equals anywhere. GETTING TO LAKE NASSER
Flights to Egypt and the internal flights within Egypt are not included in the price. Flights to Egypt are not expensive; prices vary so it’s worth doing some research. Refer to page Information & Booking in the top navigation panel for information to help you find a suitable flight.
The Nubian Safari starts in Aswan, arrangements to reach Aswan are not included in the safari price because many people also include a sightseeing package in Egypt in addition to fishing. If required, we will be pleased to help you plan to visit some of Egypt’s famous antiquities just let us know.

An African Angler tour coordinator will collect you from any location in Aswan and then transfer you to the lake to join the safari.
If you are flying into Aswan from Cairo you will need to arrange for your flight arrival time in Aswan to be no later than 8.30 or 9.30am so that you do not miss any valuable fishing time.
If you are coming to Aswan from Luxor and have a problem finding a suitable flight to Aswan we can arrange for an air-conditioned mini bus transfer by road, a three hour journey up the picturesque Nile Valley to Aswan.
On Safari
The number of days you have booked for your Nubian Safari will be spent fishing on Lake Nasser.
All meals and hot beverages are included on Safari.
Safari Ends
The safari ends at approximately 4.30pm when we will transfer you from the lake to any location in Aswan for your onward travel arrangements.

There are two options for the style of boat unit you can charter for the private Nubian Safari. The fishing boats and supporting mother ship are for your own private use.
Fishing Boats: Most anglers choose the option of coming on a safari in one of our standard fishing boats which can accommodate three anglers; the ideal combination is two anglers sharing one fishing boat.
House Boat & Fishing Boat Combo: Live comfortably aboard a house boat and use an additional boat for fishing. A house boat sleeps four comfortably in two cabins but can also accommodate up to six persons if two sleep on the sun deck and
enjoy the unique experience of sleeping under the desert stars. The house boat has a small galley and there are also on board toilet and shower facilities.
The second boat is a standard fishing boat, having two boats is the ideal way to include your family on a fishing holiday, while they explore the lake in a comfortable house boat, you can go fishing. This combo also works well for small groups of friends; the more of you who share a house boat the less expensive the safari becomes for each person.
