Days are spent fishing and exploring this vast desert lake then at lunch time and in the evening you meet up with your mother ship where meals and drinks are enjoyed in comfortable social surroundings. Arrival and departure arrangements are included in the cost of a Lake Nasser Safari; everything is included from your arrival in Egypt until you board your homebound flight. You might consider arriving a few days earlier to visit some of Egypt’s famous antiquities; let us know and we will be pleased to help you with these arrangements.
Flights to Egypt and the internal flights within Egypt are not included in the safari price. Flights to Egypt are not expensive; prices vary so it’s worth doing some research. Refer to page Information & Booking in the header navigation panel for information to help you find a suitable flight.
You have the option of starting this holiday by flying into either Cairo or Luxor.
Cairo: There are regular daily connecting flights between Cairo and Aswan.
Take advantage of our father & son discountLuxor: Luxor is closer to Aswan, a convenient and cost effective start point for your holiday. Luxor’s international airport has frequent charter and scheduled flight connections with the UK and most European countries. The transfer to Aswan is either by road or air; we can assist with these arrangements.

Day 1 – Monday Welcome to Egypt
Depending on the flight you book you will arrive at either Cairo or Luxor airport. If possible try and book a connecting flight to Aswan on the same day as you arrive. Your airport transfers and first nights’ accommodation in a first class hotel are included and you will be met at either airport and then transferred you to your first class hotel.
Day 2 – Tuesday Arrive Aswan
If you are flying into Aswan from Cairo arrange for your Aswan flight arrival time to be no later than 8.30 or 9.30am to avoid missing valuable fishing time.

On arrival in Aswan an African Angler tour coordinator will meet you and transfer you directly to the safari start point on Lake Nasser.
Day 3 – Wednesday to Day 7 Sunday Fishing Safari
The next 6 days (13 days if you have decided to come on a two week safari) are spent fishing on Lake Nasser. You can make use of your fishing boat for 8/9 hours per day; you should find this enough because combined with shore fishing close to the camp you will be able to fish from dawn to dusk. At night, bait can be put out for catfish, which means you can fish for 24 hours…. if you have the energy? All meals and hot beverages are included whilst on Safari.
Day 7 – Sunday Safari ends
The safari ends at approximately 4.30pm when we will transfer you from the lake to any location in Aswan for your onward travel arrangements. Depending on your international flight you will spend the Sunday night in a first class hotel in Aswan, Luxor or Cairo.
Day 8 – Monday Farewell to Egypt
Transfer to Cairo or Luxor airport to connect with your flight home

Single Anglers are welcome: Pay for one place from the price band for 2 sharing a fishing boat plus the single anglers supplement. You then have the option of using the fishing boat for your own personal use, or we can advertise to find a suitable partner for you to fish with; if we find someone then neither of you will have to pay for the fishing single supplement.
There are three options for the style of boat unit you can charter for the Lake Nasser Safari. In each case you share a mother ship for night stops, your meals and resting up with a cold beer.
Fishing Boats: Most anglers choose the option of coming on a safari in one of our standard fishing boats which can accommodate three anglers; the ideal combination is two anglers sharing one fishing boat.
Four sharing one Fishing Boat: If you don’t mind being a bit crowded with your accommodation this system is the most cost effective and is also a great fishing arrangement. Because of the method of trolling on the lake, it is difficult for four anglers to troll effectively from one fishing boat without serious line tangles. When four anglers share a fishing boat we also include a stealth boat and fishing guide as the second fishing platform; two anglers fishing from each boat is the ideal fishing combination!

Stealth boat versatile fishing platformHouse Boat & Fishing Boat Combo: Live comfortably aboard a house boat and use an additional boat for fishing. A house boat sleeps four comfortably in two cabins but can also accommodate up to six persons if two sleep on the sun deck and enjoy the unique experience of sleeping under the desert stars. The house boat has a small galley and there are also on board toilet and shower facilities.
The second boat is a standard fishing boat, having two boats is the ideal way to include your family on a fishing holiday, while they explore the lake in a comfortable house boat, you can go fishing. This combo also works well for small groups of friends; the more of you who share a house boat the less expensive the safari becomes for each person.
